There are some repairs on the ship that need my attention. I'm sorry, Elize. [He wants to promise this won't happen again, but he can't. He never knows.]
I asked Jove to spend time with you in my stead. She's much better at telling stories.
[It isn't long after she says goodbye to Cullen that Jove heads straight to Elize's ship, not wanting to leave the girl feeling let down and alone for longer than she has to. She's a bit uncertain where Elize's room actually is on the ship, but it's only so large, right? It can't take that long to find adorable little girls on one ship.
Right?
She'll just wander around, bare feet making little noise on the cold floor as she searches. It's an elf thing don't worry.]
[ Knowing Jove's coming to her ship, she'll be waiting in the kitchen to make herself easier to meet up with. She doesn't like spending much time in her bunk room or personnel room due to the small space anyway.
She's sitting on a stool by the counter, resting her head on her hand while she waits. She's too busy sitting there sulkily that she doesn't instantly notice Jove wandering the ship. ]
[It's very helpful, and something that doesn't escape Jove's notice. What a sweet girl, and it only makes her posture and knowing why she's so upset all the more depressing. Poor thing must have been more attached to Cullen than he realized.]
Hello there. You haven't been waiting long, have you?
Your presence is requested on the SS Huntress on the day of May 12 for the celebration of my sixteenth birthday. Please respond regarding your attendance plans at your convenience.
[It's been an easy adjustment, getting used to Elize being so near and a constant visitor in his room. They've made due with the small space, Cullen finding her things to doodle on while comfortably sitting on his cot, with him resting his back against the wall it's pushed against as he flips through a book. He hardly notices when Elize is against his side, instinctively putting n arm over her shoulders. It's easier for the both of them this way.
He does, however, notice when she's been quiet for a while.]
[ Not a word comes from Elize, except the sound of soft breathing as she sleeps easy. A half-finished drawing of flowers rests upon her lap and the pen she was once drawing with had slipped out of her hands. After spending a good amount of time drawing, she just decided it was a good time to take a nap on his bed and quickly dozed off. Having grown comfortable being around Cullen, she treats the room and the cot like she owns it.
She only shifts slightly as she feels his arm around her shoulders, remaining sound asleep. ]
[Jove's amused voice comes from the doorway, pitched low to avoid doing exactly what she'd just warned Cullen against. She'd come intending to visit the both of them, but this is certainly an image that she was not expecting.]
[Cullen has no idea how to handle moody little girls. Sweet ones? Sure. Scared ones? Maybe. But he does feel like he needs to make this right. Somehow. And so that's why he's knocking on Elize's door.]
[ Well, she's not adverse to it. It may give her more to do on the fleet. She's confident about her spells, though she doesn't know why/how she does it. She just does. ]
[ It takes her a moment to answer. Besides her outburst with Greed, she has been barely making much of a presence anywhere, spending her days moping on the Pathstone much like she did on the Huntress. She eventually does reply back though. ]
...
Yes? [ a beat. ] Has Greed been giving you problems?
[Somehow, some way, there will be a cute little star box on Elize's bed. It's not wrapped, but inside is a sheet of stickers very similar to the ones she shared with a certain someone!
[ How ever did this cute little star box show up in here...?! Elize has no idea, but when she finds it, she knows exactly who it's from. She's just going to assume that certain someone got another crew mate to drop it off in her room.
And the box is so cute...! It could use some color though. Time to get it painted so she can show off to her star friend later! ⭐ ]

Cullen, even when not at his best, can sound pretty convincing. Fake it until you make it, or something.
But Maker, does he feel worse for having to send Elize elsewhere today.]
Elize? There's going to be a bit of a change in today's plans.
